NEPA FIT CLUB'S FITSTOCK FOR A CAUSE UCP of NEPA (Benefit - Fundraiser)

Join us for a weekend of fun,fitness and fundraising.NEPA FIT CLUB is proud to present 3rd annual Fitstock for a Cause! An outdoors live music workout on Saturday followed by a night out, all to benefit UNITED CEBERAL PALSY of Northeastern Pa.Get the weekend started with a preregistration party on Friday night complete with prizes and music by NOWHERE SLOWBully shield for kids by Scranton MMA Cost is $ 30 for work out and After Party ( 1st 100 registrants at this level receive a t shirt)$15 workout only ($5 for children)$15 after party only at Caverna in Jessup with live music by Jonny D
R3 Ops - The Mud Run with Options (Community Event)

The R3 Ops, is a 3-mile mud run/obstacle course designed for manly men and lovely ladies who are wanting to get out, have a great time with friends, become motivated, get muddy, AND to challenge themselves. All of this while.. supporting local causes. The course has the casual athlete in mind but has added on challenges for the athletically inclined. Teams are encouraged!! Anthracite Heritage Confrence 2013 (Workshop)

Location: Pennsylvania Anthracite Heritage Museum
The presentations at this exciting conference are a continuation of scholarly interest in the Anthracite Region of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The conference presenters will discuss various areas of research now being undertaken and the possibilities for further regional studies. Together these presentations provide examples of the range of resource materials and illustrate the value of an interdisciplinary approach to the region’s history. Finally, as with all historical studies, they raise new questions and create opportunities for additional research and writing.

The Phoebe Snow: A Culinary Excursiom (Non-Profit Fundraiser)

For a $35 donation you will receive heavy hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to tour the newly restored Phoebe Snow Dining Car! (Dining Car 469) A cash bar will be available.Leadership Lackawanna is working with The Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Preservation Society to launch excursions which will allow people to relive the “dinner on the diner” experience on the Phoebe Snow Dining Car, the only car in the country restored to its original condition and running a portion of its original route through the Pocono Mountains. The excursion is entirely unique to NEPA.
